In Movement is an interactive music experience right in the centre of the city. A street orchestra plays a concert on busy pedestrian streets in four cities around the world in partnership with Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Sensors collect data from the movement of people on the street which is then sent to the conductor. The conductor directs the orchestra to play in a way that mirrors the movement of the street.

For example on a busy street with a lot of fast walkers, the sensors will be able to get an average speed and relay that to the composer who can adjust the tempo to match. Height on the street will affect the volume, and the areas that have denser crowds will affect which section of the orchestra is playing.

The audience can change these elements by moving around the street, jumping, ducking, spreading out or crowding together.
